A Day At a Private
Marriage Counselling Retreat

The retreats are three days during the week or on weekends for a total of 10 hours. We meet for three hours the first evening, five hours the following day, and two hours the morning of the last day.
A private couples counselling retreat offers a focused, immersive experience designed to help you reconnect, repair, and move forward together with clarity. Each day is intentionally structured to balance meaningful therapeutic work with spacious rest, reflection, and time to simply be with one another.
Day 1: Arrival, Connection & Understanding
You begin by settling in and grounding yourselves. We open with a gentle, supportive conversation that helps you unpack what brings you here and what each of you hopes to gain. Together, we create a shared vision for the retreat.

Couples often describe Day 1 as a relief — finally having the space to be heard, understood, and guided without interruption.
Day 2: Deep Work, Insight & Healing
This is the heart of the retreat. Using research-based therapeutic approaches, we work through the deeper layers of your relationship and create new ways of relating that feel safe, honest, and connected.
This day may include:
Emotionally focused work to help you reconnect
Rebuilding trust and compassion
Learning how to express needs and feelings clearly
Repairing old hurts, misunderstandings, or recurring conflicts
Practicing new communication tools in real time
Between sessions, you’ll have guided reflection time and connection exercises to help integrate the work.
Day 3: Integration, Ritual & Moving Forward
Our final morning focuses on strengthening everything you’ve built. You’ll learn how to take what you’ve gained here and bring it into your daily life so the shifts you’ve made continue long after the retreat ends.
This day often includes:
Developing a personalized plan for staying connected
Creating rituals to support your relationship at home
Clarifying boundaries, shared commitments, and goals
Solidifying communication strategies that work for you
We end with a closing session that feels grounding, hopeful, and forward-facing — a moment to acknowledge how far you’ve come and what you’re stepping into together.
